Tentative Itinerary

11:30 (FZ 717) Arrival in Zvartnots International Airport. Transfer Airport-hotel. City tour in Yerevan will start with the panoramic view of the city and acquaintance with the Center of the city, Republic Square, Northern Avenue, the sightseeing of Opera and Ballet building, the Parliament and Residency of the President of Armenia, State University, Mother Armenia Monument, Sports & Concert Complex. A visit to Tsitsernakaberd - a Monument to the Armenian Genocide Victims, as well as the Genocide Victims’ Museum, commemorating the 1.5 million Armenians who perished during the first Genocide of the 20th century in the Western Armenia and in the territory of Ottoman Empire. Visit Cascade complex, which is considered the modern art center of Yerevan. Cascade is home to Cafesjan modern art museum. This place becomes even more charming in the evenings, when it is full of people, both locals and tourists from all over the world, enjoying the magic and the warmth of the capital. Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to Garni Pagan Temple from 1st c. The temple was built by Armenia King Tiridates and was dedicated to the God of Sun Mithra. Garni is the only Hellenistic temple existing nowadays in Armenia. The stairs of the temple are made huge and high which means that every human being climbing up the stairs is condescending to God of Sun. Visit the Arch of Charents - a favorite place of tourists, from where opens a stunning view of Mount Ararat and Yerevan. The arch is named after the great Armenian poet Egishe Charents, who loved to come to this place and enjoy the beauty of Armenian land. You can also enjoy that beauty and take a photo for memory about your wonderful trip to Armenia. Continue our journey to Geghard Monastery (13th c.) – a monastery which is hewn out from a cave. The monastery had been originally named Ayrivank meaning "the Monastery of the Cave". The name commonly used for the monastery today, Geghard, or more fully Geghardavank meaning "the Monastery of the Spear". The monastery is also included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to The pride of Tsaghkadzor is the pure Alpine air. Armenia is rich in various monasteries, picturesque landscapes, views. There are a lot of sightseeing Tsakhkadzor. Tsaghkadzor, translated, means ‘’Gorge of flowers’’ and it truly deserves the name because during spring, Tsaghkadzor is covered with lush, green forests and flowers and the views are just mesmerizing. The Tsaghkunyats Mountains surround the cozy town. Located in the northern part of town, the unique church was erected at the beginning of the 11th-century and is considered one of the historical gems of Tsaghkadzor. It is a well-kept facility surrounded by beautiful mountains and ancient cross-stones (khachkars). Kecharis Monastery is a great place to get in touch with the history of Tsaghkadzor. Drive to Lake Sevan. Here, in Lake Sevan, which has a very beautiful peninsula, we are going to climb many stairs up to see the church located in the peak - Sevanavank, from where opens also a beautiful view to the “blue-eyed” lake. Visa for Armenia

Indian Citizens & Filipino Citizens

Indian passport holders can obtain a visa for Armenia through the following options:

  1. eVisa Option
    Indian & Filipino citizens can apply for an eVisa online through the official Armenian eVisa portal.

 Documents Required:

  • Passport: Valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended arrival date.
  • Passport Copy: Scanned copy of the passport’s biodata page.
  • Emirates ID
  • Photograph: Recent passport-size photo.
  • Travel Itinerary: A detailed travel plan, including flight tickets.
  • Accommodation Proof: Hotel booking or invitation letter if staying with friends/family.
  • Return Flight Ticket Itinerary
  • Travel Insurance
  • Financial Proof: Bank statement or proof of sufficient funds for the stay.

Processing Time:

  • Typically 3 business days.

Visa Fee:

    Indian & Filipino citizens with UAE resident are eligible for a visa on arrival at Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport or other entry points.

Documents Required for VoA:

  • Return Flight Ticket.
  • Proof of Accommodation: Hotel reservation or host details.

Pakistani Citizens

Pakistani passport holders need to apply for a visa at the Armenian Embassy or consulate as the eVisa or visa on arrival option is not available.

Documents Required:

  • Passport: Valid for at least 6 months.
  • Passport Copy: Scanned copy of the passport biodata page.
  • Visa Application Form: Completed and signed.
  • Photograph: Recent passport-size photo.
  • Travel Itinerary: Return flight tickets and travel schedule.
  • Hotel Booking: Reservation details or an invitation letter.
  • Financial Proof: Bank statements showing sufficient funds.
  • Travel Insurance: May be required by the consulate.

Check-in/Check-out Policy: Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability at the time of check-in/check-out.

Visa Approval: Visa issuance is subject to approval by the Ministry and is at the sole discretion of the embassy. Any financial implications arising from visa rejection will be borne by the client.

Flight Cancellations or Rescheduling: In case of any cancellations or reschedules of domestic or international flights during the travel period, travelers are advised to cover any expenses incurred during that time on their own.

Unused Services: Any services not utilized on time will neither be refunded nor adjusted.

Travel Tips

Passport control

To cross the border you must have a valid foreign passport with 6-month validity.

Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel

Turn on your WhatsApp no. after arriving at the Airport. At the international airport in Armenia upon arrival, after passing through passport and customs control, you are met by a representative with a sign / placard and escorted to the transfer service, which follows the hotel where you will stay for the period of your stay in City.

Electricity/ Circuit

There are two associated plug types, types C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side. Operates on a 220V supply voltage and 50Hz.

Excursions and activities

Going on excursions, carefully listen to the recommendations of the guide on clothes, for comfortable and convenient travel to interesting places.

Guided tours

Collecting for group and individual excursions are strictly at the appointed time and the place indicated in the excursion program and agreed with the guide on the eve.

The maximum waiting time is 10 minutes. If you are late for a tour, no claims for services rendered are accepted. For any possible fine for refusal / impossibility of visiting the tour, please contact the company representative.

The telephone code of is +374. When calling to Armenia from other countries, it is necessary to dial the country code.

Currency and Credit cards

Currency exchange offices are located at every step. They accept US dollar, Euro, Russian ruble, Georgian lari. As well as currency exchange offices, ATMs are located almost everywhere. Credit cards can be used to pay at shopping malls, shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. Cash can be withdrawn at bank branches and ATMs. It is best to withdraw cash in Yerevan.

In shops and other retail outlets, trade is carried out only in the national currency. It is not difficult to change currency into drams, as there are exchange offices everywhere. A passport is not required for currency transactions. In Armenia, you can cash out: Visa Card, Master Card, Euro Card, Maestro Card, Armenian Card.

Weather

The weather in Armenia in April is already conducive to long walks. In some cities, the thermometer rises quite high. For example, in the afternoon in Yerevan in April it is +17 degrees, in the area of Mount Ararat – +14. The coldest is in Tsakhkadzor ski resort and on the territory of Lake Sevan – +7 degrees. The water in the lake warms up to only +5. The night weather in Armenia is still cool, and sub-zero temperatures are observed in some areas. This applies to the mountain resort and the lake. But in Yerevan and Ararat it is already quite warm – from +4 to +7 degrees. 

Tipping

Tipping is not mandatory in Armenia, but it is certainly appreciated – especially in restaurants and cafes where wages are low. If the service was good and you can afford it, please consider leaving a generous tip for your waiter (10-15% is standard).

Smoking

Smoking ban in all indoor public places comes into force in Armenia. The law on tobacco control has come into force today meaning that smoking in public places such as bars, restaurants and offices is forbidden.

Shopping

Armenia offers excellent shopping opportunities for both exclusively traditional Armenian items and items of world-famous brands. Shopping in the country is concentrated in the capital, Yerevan, the city is the largest and most developed in Armenia.

Hotel Accommodation

Check in at the hotel, usually takes place after 14:00 -15:00 hrs (Check-in time may differ in different hotel). Upon arrival for accommodation at the hotel you need to present your passport.

It is also recommended that you take a hotel’s visiting card so that, if you get lost in the city, go back without problems to the hotel.

When leaving the hotel, pay for additional services and take a document confirming payment.

 

UNDERSTAND THE DRESS CODE FOR VISITING RELIGIOUS SITES

There is a strict dress code for visiting Orthodox churches, monasteries and convents in Armenia. The same applies for mosques.  For men, this means covered knees (no shorts) and covered shoulders (no singlet tops). Women must cover their shoulders and knees as well, and cover their hair.
